Joy Avery Melville is a storyteller driven by a heart of service, seeking to encourage readers to find hope, healing, and a closer walk with Christ. Her original goal was to write historical romances, yet she has chosen to follow the promptings God has given her and write the kind of fiction that touches readers’ lives where they are, in their struggles, with compassion and truth. Her stories are about people who suffer in silence, yet find God’s redemptive touch in the midst of their struggles.

Joy lives in the area near Schoolcraft, Michigan, with her husband. Her settings are often based in the area she loves. She is honored as the 2015 Mentor of the Year, a 2020 and 2021 Angel Book Award Winner in the Contemporary Fiction category, and a 2021 Selah Award Finalist. Joy loves connecting
